The class is making available some charter boats to let new sailors try out a 29er with the equivalent of two days of coaching spread throughout the week. Each boat will get a couple of short sessions per day, Monday to Friday. They'll then do the normal Tummel Week races in their own junior or family boat. The boats are getting shared between two pairs and so you'll get just under five half days on the water in the 29er weather permitting.
You don't need to have a helm or crew already arranged to do this event, the booking slots are for individuals. We'll pair folk up for the event. It's a very sociable week and it will hopefully let sailors get to know each other and perhaps find prospective sailing partners if they don't already have one. There's lot of activities both on and off the water, full program on the Loch Tummel SC link below.
The boats that have been 29ering for a year will also be there for a race training week and so it's great way to meet them as well, hopefully you can get out for the odd sail with an experienced crew or helm.
Boats and coaching bookings are all for individual slots, if you've a partner already that's great but if not you'll get paired up with someone for the week.
You must take part in Tummel Week to do the week's training and this needs to be booked via the LTSC web site. Parents and siblings can take part in the Tummel Week events as well. Remember to book both Tummel Week entry and camping:
