The 29er sailing year kicks off on 7th September with the 1st Harken Grand Prix at WPNSA. We have a great weekend in store. It’s a squad selection weekend for both the RYA squad and the class squads and an opportunity to show the progress you have made over the summer at our Worlds venue. Like all our national events with the exception of the national championships, which is also a Eurocup, it is a non-coached event. After sailing we have 2 brief talks: A “welcome to the Class” from our chairman which will tell our newcomers all about the class, what we offer and how to get involved in training etc.; and some past 29er sailors who are now in 49ers who will discuss their experiences of life after 29ers and what they learned. Following this we have a meal laid on at WPNSA and the bar will be open (see below).
This should be a great opportunity to say hello to old friends and meet new people.
