29er GP2 RLYC 2022

Our Saturday night social at GP2 will be hosted by Lymington Town Sailing Club. The cost is £15 per head, to include dinner and a quiz. Numbers are capped at 110 due to capacity of the room, so please book early!
At this event all sailors will be given a buddy group, so that the more experienced sailors can help less experienced sailors in the dinghy park. These buddy groups will also be the sailors' teams for the quiz.
Parents and supporters are welcome for both dinner and the quiz!
Timings to be confirmed, but will be approximately:
- Arrive from 6/6.15pm
- GP1 prizegiving at 6.15pm
- Craig Mitchell talk at 6.30pm (tbc)
- Dinner at 7pm
- Quiz from 8.15/8.30pm
Please book either meat or vegan lasagne option, both followed by chocolate brownie and ice cream.

Aimed at those who have just moved into the 29er and would like support for on and off the water. The support will involve a briefing before racing to help you with set up and answer any questions. The coach will walk around the boat park and be on hand to help check settings and kites. They can also help introduce you to any of the older sailors who are really helpful but might be a bit daunting to ask. On the water, they can take a food bag (but so can other ribs) and be available for a quick chat in between races with any helpful coaching tips. After sailing, there will be a quick chat as a group or individually to make sure you are ready for the next day. The idea is to make you feel happy and confident for your first few GPs.
The coach isn’t there for safety or to make the decision on whether you should sail - that decision still comes down to the sailor.
